public and private posts
Feb. 6th, 2011 11:13 ami have written a couple more posts about plausibility structures in the sociology of knowledge that I think no one at all would want to read. If I have not explained sufficiently by now why we are inclined to say "Stuff and nonsense!" when we haven't really considered the evidence, or "Wow" for similarly insufficient reasons, another analysis will do no good.
On the other hand, I have made so many newcomers aware of the blog I don't want to plunge them into some of my other obsessions without benefit of prior reading without which the speculations will make little enough sense. (I remember vividly my own past experiences along those lines, going "WTF?" because I needed to have read all the preceding material first and contemplated it at leisure.)
I assume the truly committed (or commitable) will take out LiveJournal accounts and friend me. It's more awkward than Facebook, I grant you.
By the way, No Longer Albers and Probably Not Alberti, Either sold to a collector who will appreciate it.
