travis-hill-europa has posted a new set of modernist and monarchical European books on eBay, and although he has gotten out of the alchemical-books end of the market (which was my original reason for posting his offerings, because of the interest that an original volume by Oswald Croll would hold to friends of crowleycrow), his offerings still include astounding books from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, of which some are literally unique. One such is a photo album compiled by an anonymous member of the Czechoslovak canoeing team at the 1936 and 1948 Olympics (or so it would seem from the types of evidence available in the album, including a list of competitors in the canoeing category):

The aforementioned spas of the Sudetenland are contained in an official tourist brochure that includes a remarkable statement in English by the Secretary of State for Tourist Traffic regarding the role of "tourist traffic" (a phrase repeated in almost every sentence) in promoting peace among nations; the rest of the guide to Ostmark and Sudetenland appears to be only in German.

There is also a volume containing documentation of the public health posters produced by the German Democratic Republic circa 1950:
