essayistic, but not here

I have been writing a catalogue essay for a German retrospective of work by an African-American artist who went to art school there and eventually established a career in Atlanta. That, plus a couple of Atlanta-related factors, has sent my theoretical essays over to counterforces.blogspot.com, which will come as a relief to LJ friends weary of seeing great blocks of type cluttering up their Friends Page.

The catalogue essay in question is not on Counterforces, since it was written on commission; this is a reminder that the nonfiction writing some of us would most like to see by certain LJ Friends is not available on their blogs, because there is actually a demand for it elsewhere. I hope they'll remember to let us know when such things as essays and reviews appear in real live hard-copy or online publications.
